In addition to our standard barrier sizes, we can produce custom steel barrier variations on demand to meet your specific needs. Here are a few samples of custom steel barriers we have actually produced over the last five years. Photos compare size of the limited inventory frames to standard Blockader frames.
48" high frames are most useful in situations where access over or under the barrier must be heavily discouraged. Bottom bar restricts clearance to just 2"
24" high frames have been used primarily at parking venues. They are overwhelmingly used with reflective signs or reflective sheeting attached. Bottom bar restricts clearance to just 2".
3 meter (9.75 ft.) frames are seldom ordered these days, except for permanent to semi-permanent applications. They require two people to carry and connect, and offer no cost advantage.
Barrier variations produced in 2005
We have received recent requests for a basic frame (without uprights). Customers attach their own “billboards” or other signage, using the attachment spots at the top and bottom.
- All limited production specialty barriers are available with a variety of bases and hooks.
- Frames will be hot dip galvanized (or they can be painted black at a reduced rate upon request).
- Prices for custom-produced variations will be quoted individually.
- Usual delivery time will be 6-8 weeks, dependant upon the specifics of the order.
