“Look alike” barriers are not always alike in quality
Non-standard crowd control barriers may  not give:

Potential Risk
Classic Blockader

Risk: Simple hooks

Barriers with simple hooks do not interlock, thus they can be easily lifted out of place allowing crowds into closed areas

Blockader® Advantage: Our positive interlock hooking system assures that barriers cannot be lifted out of place
Simple hooks can be bent or lifted up out of place creating additional hazards.
Blockader standard is a positive 30 Degree interlock

Risk: Too-heavy or too-light barriers

Barricades that are too light or top heavy have a greater tendency to fall over when not hooked in sequence, and may not provided sufficient resistance to the force of crowds.

Barricades that are too heavy take longer to set up and require double the labor.

Blockader Advantage: Blockader® is the time tested balance of weight and size for stability and handling.

Blockader barriers are designed for stability and single worker installation

Risk: Poorly designed or improperly attached bases

If any person can lift a frame and the base drops out, or pull a cotter pin to release the base, you have a risky situation. Narrow bases decrease the stability of frames

Blockader Advantage: Blockader® bases are either welded or tightly attached with nylock nuts using 16 G steel or thin steel plate.
Too often renters cut corners by not bolting bases or using pins that leave a potential risk for organizers
Blockader barriers are logically wide for stability and firmly attached to frames.

Risk: Non standard Hooks

Look alike barriers in solo photos can be off as little as 1⁄4 inch in critical spots and prevent one frame from connecting to the next. When stock is all mixed up, there is no way to distinguish differences. You now have a potentially risky situation because they are not connected as expected.

Blockader Advantage: The Blockader® rentals are the industry standard, and interlock with more municipal and facility owned inventory.
Hooks or receivers not matched correctly do no allow mixed inventory to connect, requiring risky breaks in lines of barricades.
Blockader is the industry standard with probably more commonality that all other suppliers combined.
